Tales from inside Masque Of The Red Death > Inside Moray's Chamber
Ok, I think most of you are asleep now anyway, so I will post properly in the morning with all the details... for now a quick summary of my evening... I had the best night at the Masque of the Red Death ever.
I saw the rigor mortis dance which was amazing, I had my ears nibbled on by the cute barman in the opium den (I think I have the hugest crush on him now), I had Benoit confirm the name of Eugenie to me, I finally saw the betting scene between William and the other boys, the beginning of the Amontillado scene (which I missed the first time) - Bon Bon actually whizzed me along to it which I thought was sweet... but anyway, now to the best bit, after the Red Death falls I went out to greet Eugenie and she took Peter A and myself (unfortunately Chris J didn't say the right name to her) to Moray's chamber. On the way she told us the story of how they 'met'. I think Peter will be much better at recounting it. Anyway, in a nutshell, Eugenie killed Moray because he rejected her as his heir even thought she was Moray's daughter. He called her a whore. Benoit witnessed the murder and she took his eyes and heart out and slit his throat.
In Moray's chamber we then had to play a chord and the melody which comes from the keys that we have got. I think. Anyway, both Peter and I were absolutely useless. We hadn't brought the numbers - I couldn't find my notebook with them in and all I had was a piece of paper which had piano keys on it and how I was supposed to possibly play the Bach suite (thanks to the patient musical person who was trying to teach me it before!) In any case, I couldn't do it. But luckily Eugenie played it for us. I think she felt sorry for us being so musically illiterate. We then heard a recording of William Moray! Both Peter and I didn't have any pens on us. Yes, the worst hunters in the world. I don't know where I'd lost my pen earlier in the night... but I was trying to write with an eyeliner on a piece of paper as a result. Which obviously went really badly and I can't actually decipher it. But I will do first thing in the morning. He told us that there was a book in Moray's birth place! It's the book we need!
More tomorrow morning... I need to sleep right now!
Peter and Chris - it was lovely to meet you both!
oh yeah my friend had the experience Ash described in the other thread and said it was super scary! It was just her and another guy.
Great stuff and good progress by both of you but honestly, posting over fifteen seperate messages in various threads in twenty four hours is excessive by any measure. I believe that the the hunters, and of course Mr. Grandison would greatly appreciate your posts, albeit well edited and to the facts.
Bonnie and Peter A, this is fantastic news! (but how disappointing for Chris J.) I was expecting Moray's body to be in the chamber. Didn't Eugenie try to kill you
I will have to gather my thoughts properly - I think all the opium haze, absinthe fumes and ear nibbling has confused me slightly.
But in the mean time I have to let you know that both Peter A and myself managed to get into Moray's chamber tonight!
I still can't believe it myself... but it happened... more on this in a little while...
